Eyes on the prize: CS Lewis wrote, “If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” I thought of that when I heard Luke Bower’s “Not My Home”. Keeping our minds fixed on the surety of our eternal home energizes us for fighting that good fight.
Being heavenly-minded can bring much earthly good!
Let us pray. Lord Jesus, You call heaven and all the saints and apostles and prophets to rejoice when those who pretend to be the true Church are brought to judgement. Help us to discern between what is true and what is false, always knowing that Your kingdom comes through humility and suffering and that the truth of the Gospel is found in You alone; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
